The act of completing a game pretty fast. Below is a history of completions of the main Goime category and other related events.

August 2012

The first recorded run we know exists is a 10:29 by Algorox/Infamous (refered to only as Infamous later in the article).

August 2015

Fixylol creates the Goime 500 page on speedrun.com. The page stays dormant for more than a year.

10th of January, 2017

The Goime 500 discord gets created. General information about the game starts to be collected. The first run to get submitted is Imagine4's time of 1:22:32.8. Their time is not regarded to ever have been a WR now, since the run by Infamous has been discovered. The time is beaten a few times by other runners the same day.

11th-18th of February - The Tetrian Week

Tetrian22 was one of the earliest runners of the community and on the 11th achieved a time of 10:21. In the following few days they have captured the best times of all the other categories, being dubbed the "Best Goime player". A title that would stick around if not to him.

On the 16th of February, Cary joins the server and starts creating updated versions of Goime. These newest versions are now the main category. On the same day Tetrian sets a time of 10:41.

18th-23rd of February - The Zach week

On the 18th Zach had beaten Tetrian's WR with a time of 9:49, the following days bringing the WR further down to 6:34, The next day Swimswum posted the first sub 6 minute run. Getting beaten back by Zach the day after. On the 23rd Zach posts the time of 5:43.358. In the following few days Zach picks up all of the other records and becomes the second Best Goime Player. Even if their total of all WRs stands only for 10 minutes, they hold the title for a few weeks to follow.

March - April - PotatOS03's reign

Their first run on the leaderboards is an 8:25 from the 6th of March. But just after two weeks, on the 19th of March they break the WR with a time of 5:29 and in the following month improve their time down just below the 5 minute barrier, at 4:56 on the 14th of April. Like seems tradition they turned their attention over to other categories and became the third ever Best Goime player.

August 5th

A runner simply by the name "Stranger" submits their first run in June - a barely sub-9 8:59. But much like PotatOS03 tries and gets their PB down by quite a bit. Only in August do they manage to just break the WR by just more than one second at a time of 4:54.895

19th of March 2018

In early august we see a runner called Lightstare come into the community, and they do grind the game like no one before them, pushing down the WR after many attempts to a remarkable 4:27.614. Lightstare becomes the 4th Best Goime Player and even though they don't hold the title anymore, on the player scoring sheet they still are in the first place to this day.

July-August 2020

After the WR standing solid for over two years, Another determined runner called KorZen steps up to the task, submitting their first run in the 6 minute range in June. But with a their brand new route on July 5th they break the record by another three seconds for a time of 4:24.525. In the next few weeks they would continue to get even better at the game, with what seemed like their golden attempt on the 28th with a time of 4:05.807. That was until the even more golden run on the 27th of August with a spectacular time of 3:49.904.

That is where the fastest time stands today.

Other Categories

100%TAS

One of the two TAS categories. First taken by Zmangames and then passed to Futurama39 who perfected the run and pushed the WR under 4 minutes

99.8%

A run category for the old version of the game, first taken by Algorox in 2012 then taken by Tetrian22 in 2017 and few months after taken by Zmangames

All coins

One of the first categories. Bazinga9000 and Tetrian22 firstly begun fighting for the WR but were beaten by Purplegaze, who was brawling with Zmangames since then, but after a long while Purplegaze came victorious.

All portals

By length, similar to All coins, but nonetheless interesting in WR overtakes, the WR was first taken by Tetrian22 then passed to thecnoNSMB until Zmangames takes the WR. Swimswum takes the WR for a while until Zmangames took it back, but after some time PotatOS03 takes the WR from them.

Fastest marathon

The shortest category, that in v1.0 was owned by Bat and then on 1.3 taken by Declaminius and then Fixylol had the best time for a while, then it was proven that the times were inconsistent, but when 1.10+ rolled around faster times were possible so Imagine4 got the WR, then it was passed to Zmangames and to PotatOS03

Fastest marathon TAS

the least interesting category, mainly because the precision of TAS is useless here, first taken by Yarin then Futurama39 then Zmangames. For it's lack of both competition and anything useful this category got scrapped.
